For diagnostic labs

A receptionist for your lab that books the sample collection and reads back the fasting instructions.

Scandum · 2 September 2026

What it costs today

The phone rings with the same questions all morning: price of a test, fasting or not, when the report comes. The home-collection slots are on a whiteboard, and the patient who wanted a call when the report was ready never gets one.

We have no sourced figure for this trade, so this page prints none. The research page carries the numbers we do have and how each was arrived at.

A worked example

A morning at a diagnostic lab

  1. 01

06:40: a call before the lab opens. The receptionist answers in Telugu, quotes the full-body package from the knowledge hub, and books home collection for 07:30 tomorrow.

  2. 02

06:41: the fasting instructions go on WhatsApp in the same language.

  3. 03

09:15: a doctor's office calls for a patient's report time. It is read from the record; no one is put on hold.

  4. 04

13:00: a collection slot is missed. The coordinator calls, rebooks for the evening, and updates the phlebotomist's diary.

  5. 05

19:00: the digest: calls answered, collections booked, reports promised for tomorrow.

Acted data on a stand-in diagnostic lab; the product is real. Outcome rows and how each is verified are on the proof page.

What it says

One sentence, in the caller's language.

Hello, we will come to your home tomorrow at seven thirty to collect the sample. Please do not eat anything after ten tonight; water is fine.

The same sentence is said in Hindi or English when the caller opens in one of those. Every call begins with a one-line disclosure that it is an AI assistant.

Questions

Questions diagnostic labs ask.

Can it give test prices and preparation instructions?

Yes, from the test list you keep in the knowledge hub: price, sample type, fasting, and report time. It never invents a price and it never interprets a result.

Does it handle home sample collection?

Yes. It reads the phlebotomists' diaries, offers real slots, books one, and sends the preparation instructions on WhatsApp in the patient's language.

Is patient data safe?

Consent is recorded on every record with the purpose and retention period, recordings are deleted when the period ends, and data stays in Mumbai. It never reads a result to a caller; it says when the report is ready.

What we don't claim yet

Honest line

We do not claim to read or interpret results. The receptionist books, informs and reminds; the report goes to the patient through your own channel.

Hear it before you buy it.

Hear the receptionist on the demo number, or send us twenty stale quotes from your diagnostic lab and get twenty outcome rows.
