For restaurants

A phone for your restaurant that takes the table booking while the floor is full.

Scandum · 2 September 2026

What it costs today

The phone rings during the dinner rush and nobody near it has a free hand, the caller books the place next door, and the table that was reserved and never claimed stays empty because no one confirmed it.

We have no sourced figure for this trade, so this page prints none. The research page carries the numbers we do have and how each was arrived at.

A worked example

A Friday night at a sixty-cover restaurant

  1. 01

18:10: a caller wants a table for four at eight. The receptionist reads the floor plan diary, books it, and reads the name back.

  2. 02

18:40: two calls during service. One asks if the kitchen does a vegetarian thali, and hears the answer from your menu; one asks for parking and gets the address on WhatsApp.

  3. 03

19:00: tonight's reservations are confirmed by WhatsApp; one party cancels and the table is released.

  4. 04

20:45: a complaint about a delayed delivery order. Ticket to you with the thread; the customer hears when to expect a call.

  5. 05

23:00: the evening note. Calls answered, covers booked, one complaint that needs you.

What it says

One sentence, in the caller's language.

నమస్కారం, ఈరోజు రాత్రి ఎనిమిది గంటలకు నలుగురికి టేబుల్ ఉంది. మీ పేరు మీద బుక్ చేయమంటారా?

Hello, there is a table for four tonight at eight. Shall I book it in your name?

The same sentence is said in Hindi or English when the caller opens in one of those. Every call begins with a one-line disclosure that it is an AI assistant.

Questions

Questions restaurants ask.

Can an AI receptionist take restaurant reservations?

Yes. It reads the reservation diary, offers real tables, books the one the caller picks, and confirms on WhatsApp. It answers in Telugu, Hindi or English and is shipped today.

Does it know my menu?

It answers from the knowledge hub you fill: menu, hours, parking, whether you take large parties. When it does not know, it says so and takes a message.

Can it handle delivery complaints?

Customer Support reads the order status, replies in the customer's language, and hands anything contested to you with the thread. It never argues with a customer.

What we don't claim yet

Honest line

We have no figure for what a restaurant loses to unanswered calls, so none is printed. The receptionist is shipped; Customer Support is in the lab.
